MPI Trade Certification

MPI is retiring the current ePhyto system and replacing it with a new platform called Trade Certification. This will be a hard cutover, meaning ePhyto will be fully switched off and all submissions must be made through Trade Certification from the go‑live date.

When is the cutover?

Monday, 2 March 2026 is the go‑live date for Trade Certification for Plant Products.
From this date:

  • All new submissions must be made in Trade Certification.
  • ePhyto will remain available only for issuing replacement certificates.

What do I need to do?

Your organisation must be registered for Trade Certification.
To ensure a smooth transition, please complete your registration by 13 February 2026.

For details about registration, the cutover process, and Trade Certification in general, visit the MPI website:
MPI - Replacing our trade certification systems

Prodoc Cloud users may not be able to access the full MPI site. If so, simply search “mpi replacing” in your browser — the correct link should appear at the top of the results.

How will submitting from Prodoc (B2G) change?

It won’t. You will continue to submit from Prodoc using your existing ePhyto EDI messages.
MPI has kept the same message structure and will automatically redirect all ePhyto traffic to Trade Certification on the cutover day. All system accounts are being migrated.

How has TradeWindow/Prodoc prepared for this change?

The TradeWindow team has been working closely with MPI to test submissions from Prodoc to both the current and new systems. This includes validating the “no‑change” approach, where MPI’s redirect allows submissions to continue without any configuration updates in Prodoc.

Testing is ongoing and will continue up to go‑live and beyond to ensure a smooth transition.
