EXDOC/NEXDOC ICS connection issues

Potential issue for our EXDOC/NEXDOC customers:

 

Attention
All exporters who use the EXDOC or NEXDOC Single Electronic Window (SEW) service to the Australian Border Force’s Integrated Cargo System (ICS).

Outage details
There is an intermittent issue impacting ICS outbound EDI messaging, with about half of ICS messages not reaching EXDOC and NEXDOC.

Impacts

  • While the ICS is processing EDN requests and updating EDNs, EXDOC and NEXDOC can only send EDN updates to the ICS after they have received an EDN.
  • If you urgently (i.e. for Pre Receival Advice or clearance to load) require your EDN or for it to be updated with permit information, please advise EXDOC.Helpdesk@aff.gov.au or NEXDOC@aff.gov.au.
    Otherwise, please be patient.
  • The ICS user interface (UI) is not affected. If you have an ICS digital certificate, you can raise and EDNs directly in the UI. 


Updates and Resolution
The Australian Border Force is investigating the issue as a matter of priority and you can check for updates here.
